PALILULA MUNICIPALITY AND NOVA CRNJA SIGNED AGREEMENT OF COOPERATION With agreement of Palilula Municipality from Nis and Municipality of Nova Crnja is provided forming of office for inclusion of Roma people on the territory of municipalities, parties of Agreement, as and establishing cooperation with competitive Center for social work, directors of schools, Health Center, Nationally Services for Employment, Office for Gender Equality, Police Administrations, Roma NGO who have experience in work with Roma population and other institution which can help for improvement of work in new opened offices for inclusion of Roma people. To the work meeting in the CM Palilula, except of delegation from Nova Crnja i Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly of Palilula Municipality, visited and Zorica Stoiljkovic, member of Council of Municipality and Bojan Ilic, head of Municipal Administration. After singing of Agreement two municipalities, it was signed and Protocol of technical cooperation with Association of citizens “Center for Promotion and Protection of Human and Minority Rights in Nis” (CEMP). Subject of this protocol that in the name of CEMP signed president of Association Jasmina Kostic is support to this activities and making condition for applying to IPA funds to EU and joining of work and resources in aim of realizing of project that is related on inclusion of Roma people on the territory of Nis Palilula Municipality. “Decade of inclusion of Roma 2005-2010” it is international initiative unprecedented, launched in order to combat discrimination and to bridge the gap in social status and living conditions between Roma and non-Roma in order to break vicious cycle of poverty and social exclusion of Roma. This initiative support Institute for Open Society (OSI) and World Bank, and in its realizing participate nine countries of central and eastern Europe. Proclaimed goal of Decade is to make faster progress in improvement of society inclusion and economical status of Roma. Serbia is until June 2009 presided of “Decade of inclusion of Roma” and their priorities, according to official statements, was education, suppression of discrimination of Roma, habitation and making of European Roma politics. States, members of Decade of Roma is Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, and from 2009 has also acceded and Spain.
